Chief Justice’s Commission to honor legal services lawyers

The 10th Annual Justice Robert Benham Awards for Community Service will be presented on March 10, 2009 at a special ceremony and reception.

This year’s recipients include Rebecca Crowley, managing attorney of the GLSP Waycross/Brunswick region, and Tomieka Daniel, staff attorney of the GLSP Macon region and Manufactured Housing Law Fellow. Each has made significant contributions in their judicial districts which demonstrate positive contributions beyond their legal or official work. Awards are given to selected attorneys in the judicial districts of Georgia from which nominations are received.

These awards recognize the commitment of Georgia lawyers to volunteerism, encourage all lawyers to become involved in community service, improve the quality of lawyers’ lives through the satisfaction they derive from helping others, and raise the public image of lawyers. All honorees are members of the State Bar of Georgia.

About ProBonoGA

Lawyer and justice architect wannabe... I am the pro bono director for Georgia Legal Services Program and direct a program that is funded by GLSP and the State Bar of Georgia. I am a lawyer licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia, and not in any other jurisdiction. Nothing posted on this blog should be considered legal advice. Your use of this blog does not create an attorney-client relationship with me. I do not have an active legal practice and do not have clients. I am not using this site to market to clients. I do not recommend attorneys or law firms. If I reference an attorney or a law firm in this blog, I do so to tell a story, make a point, or urge you to think about an issue presented by that attorney or law firm.
